Potion Permit casts you as an accomplished chemist sent to Moonbury after the mayor’s daughter becomes ill and the local witch doctor cannot help. The town distrusts outside medical knowledge, so your work is both a rescue mission and an effort to introduce modern alchemy to a traditional community. As an open-ended role-playing simulation, it follows your life as Moonbury’s apothecary and asks you to earn the residents’ confidence through practical care.

When someone falls ill, diagnose the condition, gather the necessary ingredients, and brew a potion to provide treatment. Your efforts can improve the town by upgrading buildings, expanding the areas available for gathering, and changing the lives of its inhabitants. Relationships grow alongside your medical practice: you can become closer to townsfolk, gain their trust, and eventually pursue a romance with a chosen sweetheart. A loyal dog accompanies you throughout the work and helps with your duties. The game also includes a redesigned interface, achievements, cloud saving between devices, and controller compatibility, while its colorful world supports a relaxed approach to apothecary life.
