Children of Morta

Children of Morta follows the Bergsons, a family of heroes defending the land of Rea from the spreading Corruption. Its story explores love, hope, uncertainty, loss, and sacrifice as the family faces an encroaching darkness together. Rather than controlling one permanent protagonist, you can switch among seven playable family members, each with distinct abilities, combat styles, and personalities.

The action RPG’s roguelite structure sends you through procedurally generated dungeons, caves, and lands filled with enemy hordes. Each run combines hack-and-slash combat with improvements to skills and gear that benefit the family as a whole, helping the heroes grow through repeated journeys into the changing world. Two players can also fight together online, coordinating their characters through each battle. The game presents Rea with 2D pixel art, handcrafted animation, and modern lighting, while its complete edition includes the Ancient Spirits and Paws and Claws content as part of the main game. Touch controls, controller compatibility, achievements, and cloud saves are also supported.
