Crawl Tactics

Crawl Tactics combines classic turn-based strategy RPG combat with rogue-like progression. In Dungeon Mode, each run sends your party through procedurally generated rooms and battlefields across ruins, caves, catacombs, and forests. Environments bring different climates, monsters, and conditions, while encounters may include friendly or hostile NPCs, unique mercenaries, valuable items, sieges, and defense events. Every battlefield rewards attention to elevation, unit direction, weather, and terrain rather than relying on puzzle-style solutions.

Combat supports extensive party customization through skills, equipment, classes, abilities, and appearances. Environmental interactions shape the fight: burn grass, electrify enemies in water, ignite poison clouds, or use pushes and throws to send units into cliffs and traps. Cannons, ballistae, boulders, and chain reactions add further tactical options. You can build a party ranging from one character to eight units, then continue developing characters in New Game Plus or reset advanced classes through the Reverse system. Quest Mode shifts focus to town growth, letting you construct buildings each turn, hire mercenaries, assign quests, adjust difficulty, and defend the settlement from increasingly powerful invasions at set intervals.
