KOF ’99 begins the NESTS chapter of The King of Fighters story, shifting its focus from Kyo Kusanagi to the new character K’. Players assemble teams and compete in fast-paced fighting matches built around the series’ established combat system, with the Striker Match mode adding an extra layer of strategy to each encounter.

This ACA NEOGEO edition preserves the original game’s arcade presentation through configurable screen settings and options. It also includes online ranking features for comparing results, along with quick save and load functions that make it easier to resume progress. A customizable virtual pad supports play on a touchscreen, while the game’s difficulty and visual style can be adjusted to reflect the classic NEOGEO experience.
