Wuthering Waves casts you as Rover, awakened in the aftermath of an apocalypse known as the Lament. Civilization is rebuilding across Solaris-3, where silent ruins, hostile beings, and hidden truths shape a journey to recover your lost memories and help determine the world’s future. Along the way, you meet a colorful cast of Resonators, uncover the setting’s story through cinematic scenes, music, and animation, and gain new powers as the adventure progresses.

Exploration is built around freedom of movement rather than fixed routes. You can dash, run along walls, take Flight, and travel across the expansive overworld on a high-mobility motorbike without stamina limits restricting those activities. Combat focuses on quick responses and active ability use, including Extreme Evasion, Dodge Counter, Echo Skills, and distinctive quick-time-event mechanics. Resonators bring different abilities and awakened Fortes to your battles, letting you form a complementary team as you advance through the story-rich journey.
