Hitman: Absolution

Branded a traitor and pursued by the Agency he once served, Agent 47 returns for a story that tests his loyalties and conscience. Across 20 missions, players stalk targets through elaborate environments, studying opportunities and choosing how each contract unfolds. They can blend into the background, eliminate targets silently, use disguises and environmental options, or rely on firearms when plans turn loud.

The core loop rewards observation, experimentation, and careful execution. Instinct Mode helps identify targets, anticipate enemy movement, and reveal points of interest, while Point Shooting briefly stops time so players can mark several enemies for rapid elimination. Challenges encourage finding alternate ways to complete missions, and Purist mode raises the stakes with more dangerous enemies and no guidance. Contracts mode extends the sandbox with player-created assignments: players can take on contracts designed by others, then create and share their own.
