ALTER EGO is a reflective adventure about the question, “Who am I?” Players tap whispers to gather EGO, then spend it to move through the story and take personality tests. The game is framed for people interested in examining their personality, exploring literature, philosophy, or psychology, and continuing a search for self-understanding.

Progression combines story choices with personal interpretation. What players learn through the experience is intended to help them view themselves from a new angle, while their decisions determine which ending they reach. The in-game world also changes according to how they interpret it, making the meaning of events part of the experience rather than a fixed backdrop.
