Papa's Freezeria To Go! casts the player as a summer worker at an oceanfront ice cream shop suddenly crowded with Papa Louie's customers. Each order moves through four stations: read requests at the Order Station, pour ice cream and add mixables or syrups at the Build Station, blend the sundae at the Mix Station, then finish it with whipped cream and toppings at the Top Station. Dragging, swiping, and tapping control the hands-on preparation, while customer satisfaction affects points and tips.

Progression comes from serving well and leveling up. New customers and ingredients appear over time, with more than 70 mixables, syrups, whipped cream flavors, and toppings to discover. Tips can fund shop upgrades and lobby decorations, while 85 customers bring distinct orders. The game also includes 120 achievements, along with challenging Closers and a Food Critic. Its smaller-screen design places station and ticket controls around the display, adds large touch-friendly controls, and supports multitouch. The redesigned Mix Station lets players position blend alarms and boost multiple blenders, while the Top Station uses a swipeable topping-bin carousel for evenly adding ingredients and placing items such as cherries and cookies.
