Baba Is You

Baba Is You is a puzzle game built around changing the rules of each level. Instead of treating the environment as fixed, you interact with blocks that spell out those rules, then rearrange them to alter how objects behave. The central loop is to examine the current setup, push the rule blocks into new positions, and use the resulting changes to solve the puzzle.

These manipulations can produce unexpected interactions and completely reshape the challenge. You may turn the character into a rock, redefine patches of grass as dangerously hot obstacles, or replace the goal you need to reach with something else. Each level therefore combines movement and block-pushing with experimentation, asking you to understand the active rules and find a workable arrangement.
