Monument Valley

Monument Valley follows Ida, a silent princess exploring surreal monuments filled with impossible geometry, hidden routes, and optical illusions. Players help her move through each hand-crafted world while contending with the mysterious Crow People, uncovering the secrets embedded in fantastical architecture inspired by minimalist 3D design and palaces and temples from around the world.

The core puzzle loop centers on manipulating the environment: twist and drag parts of each monument to reshape its structure, align paths, and create a way forward. The game is designed for straightforward interaction, with every screen presenting a self-contained exploration and puzzle experience. Audio responds to changes in the architecture, adding a reactive soundscape to the visual illusions. Cloud save synchronizes progress across devices, and the experience supports both phones and tablets.

The main adventure is joined by Ida’s Dream, while Forgotten Shores adds eight new chapters of exploration and illusion as a separate purchase. Each monument offers its own crafted arrangement of geometry and pathways, making architectural manipulation the defining feature of progression through the game.
