The game includes thousands of levels with varying difficulty and no timer, allowing players to work through each puzzle at their own pace. There are no penalties for mistakes: the current level can be restarted, while Undo reverses previous moves. If a position becomes difficult, an Add option supplies an extra bottle. Progress centers on completing these increasingly challenging sorting layouts rather than on a separate story or character system.
