Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells turns the Wizarding World into a match-three adventure. Players combine gems to clear levels, overcome obstacles, and handle hazards such as Chocolate Frogs and Potions. Spells provide special assistance, while accessories including the broom and Bombastic Bombs can help clear the board. Solving riddles can reveal additional gameplay aids, and experience earned during play raises the player’s level, unlocks rewards, and grants new magical abilities.

Progression also brings scenes inspired by the Harry Potter films, featuring characters and moments involving Harry, Ron, Hermione, Fred, George, Hagrid, Hogwarts, and Wizard’s Chess. Magical creatures can be collected and provide benefits during puzzles. Alongside the main levels, daily events offer changing activities tied to characters, celebrations, treasure, and spell upgrades. Players can also join clubs, cooperate with clubmates, and compete in tournaments and challenges against other clubs while climbing leaderboards.
