Merchant of the Skies

Merchant of the Skies casts you as an airship merchant in a world of floating islands above the clouds. You chart routes between settlements, buy and sell goods as supply and demand change, and expand your wealth at your own pace. There are no forced missions or countdowns, leaving you free to choose which islands to visit and how to develop your business.

Each playthrough generates a procedural sky filled with distinct encounters, characters, and island stories. Beyond trading, you can purchase islands, create production chains, and send caravans to generate passive income while you explore. Your headquarters can also be shaped with more than 200 customizable building blocks. Progression begins with a campaign focused on restoring the world, taking you from a single ship toward a broad merchant empire, then continues in an unlimited sandbox mode with no fixed endpoint. The game supports fully offline play and combines route planning, economic strategy, exploration, automation, and creative construction in one open-ended simulation.
