Magic Research 2 casts you as a novice wizard pursuing the Philosopher’s Stone, a legendary artifact said to cure any illness. Along the way, you study the Elements, uncover secrets about magic and the wider world, and follow more than a hundred storylines that can grant powerful bonuses. The adventure has a clear ending, though the journey may hold more than one conclusion.

Progress comes through a broad magical toolkit of over 120 spells and the transmutation of more than 250 items. You can direct a team of wizards who cast spells for you, while a deep, semi-automated combat system carries the group through dozens of areas to explore. Discoveries and secrets can alter how you play, adding new approaches as your understanding grows. When you restart, retirement bonuses help you advance faster on subsequent attempts, giving the long campaign a repeatable progression loop. The game offers more than 60 hours of gameplay and is designed for both phone and tablet play.
