Kiếm Thế Origin is a mobile role-playing game set in a martial-arts world built around 21 schools and a five-element system of mutual strengths and weaknesses. Players can choose a school, change their cultivation path, and develop a fighting style through the new Jianghu Skills system, which lets them combine techniques according to their school, strategy, and battle situation. The new Bồng Lai school offers two distinct approaches: ranged water-based internal combat with a staff, focused on control and support, or close-range external combat with a spear, built around rapid engagement, freezing, and sustained damage.

Progression extends beyond combat levels through the Codex collection system, divided into Equipment, Monsters, Antiquities, Divine Gear, and Divine Weapons. Collecting items activates cards, while duplicates can improve attributes and unlock set effects at collection milestones. Guild competition expands into cross-server activities, including seasonal rankings based on accumulated Leader Points, the four-zone Tần Lăng contest with bosses and decoys, and Khắc Di Môn, where Mongol and Western Xia factions fight over bosses and battle points. A seven-day login sequence also provides items such as a grade-S companion, rare accessories, silver, enhancement materials, and experience resources.
