Phượng Hoàng Tru Tiên is a portrait-oriented MMO role-playing game centered on cultivation, transformation, and flexible combat. Players awaken phoenix blood and develop a character through resources, breakthrough materials, equipment, skills, talents, and changing forms. The game supports AFK progression, automatically collecting resources, upgrade items, and gear even while the player is offline, allowing character growth to continue between active sessions.

Combat customization is built around four classic classes that can be switched freely rather than permanently locking the character into one path. Each class has its own skill system, while advancement and demonization can alter area-attack effects, appearances, and damage. Players can also allocate talent points themselves to shape a preferred fighting style. A Divine-Demon fusion system adds four transformation states, each with distinct skills, equipment, and divine weapons, alongside stronger area damage for battlefield encounters.
