Balatro

Balatro turns poker hands into the foundation of a run-based card game. Each round, you aim to beat Boss Blinds by assembling strong hands, while pickups, discards, and Jokers shape the path ahead. Bosses provide escalating challenges, including a final test that must be overcome to complete the game.

The main source of variety comes from more than 150 Jokers, each with a special power that can change how a run plays. You can combine them with different decks, upgrade cards, and use vouchers to raise your scores and create new scoring combinations. Runs differ substantially depending on the choices made along the way, and discovering unusual poker hands is part of the progression. New decks can be unlocked as you play, adding further approaches to future attempts.

Balatro includes Campaign and Challenge modes, offering distinct ways to play. Its touch-focused controls are remastered for touchscreen use, while detailed pixel art and CRT-style visual effects give the game a distinctive presentation.
