Top Lords casts the player as a rising lord after the Tusk Empire throws the kingdom into chaos. The central objective is to reclaim lost lands, protect the people, defeat opposing forces, and build a kingdom from modest beginnings. Simple swipe controls guide attacks through enemy lines, while decisions about resources, expansion, and rule shape the growing realm.

Progression combines military strength with administration. Players recruit heroes from across the kingdom, learn to use their distinct abilities, and assemble an army. They can also grant fiefs to lords and knights, collect taxes, and manage the loyalty of their subjects. Trusted vassals can issue decrees and govern in the player’s name, extending control across the realm. A mighty griffin adds another element to the campaign as players expand their territory and advance through the ranks. The broader arc leads from recovering scattered lands to claiming the throne as the kingdom’s ruler.
