Candyville: Avatar City is a colorful simulation set in a sweet, fantasy-filled town where players explore locations and create their own interactive stories. Characters can be customized with hundreds of faces, outfits, hairstyles, shoes, bags, and accessories, then taken anywhere in town to interact with furniture, objects, and activities. Players can decide where characters go and what they do, turning their choices into personal scenes and storylines.

The town opens up location by location and includes an amusement park with doll-catching and roller-coaster activities, a bakery for making cakes or relaxing with coffee, and an arcade with racing and dance-machine games. Supermarkets, hospitals, and clothing stores offer more places to investigate. Objects that can be carried may be taken between scenes for tasks such as shopping, planting, preparing pastries, and gathering ingredients. Gold coins hidden around the environments can be collected and exchanged for dresses, while hidden plots and Easter eggs add discoveries to the exploration. Characters and their surroundings support open-ended play centered on dressing up, experimentation, and imaginative storytelling.
