Dicey Bugs

Dicey Bugs is a roguelite creature-collecting strategy game built around controlling both sides of each battle. Your party and the opposing bugs have dice that display available actions, but combat advances only when you choose which die to play and determine the order of events. That timing, along with each bug’s position, shapes how abilities combine and lets you build chains of effects.

Rather than simply defeating an opponent, you can weaken and capture it, including elite bugs and bosses. After a battle, a captured bug can join your party or return to your collection for a future run. Before starting, you assemble a team from your collection and set up a support die using the faces you have unlocked. During a run, shops can be rerolled or restocked with upgrades suited to your build, while battle rewards provide permanent stat boosts or bottles for catching more bugs. Boss victories add new die faces, expanding the ways you can customize the support die on later runs. The result is a loop of team building, deliberate dice sequencing, capture decisions, and run-specific upgrades.
