John GBA

John GBA is an emulator that lets players use their own Game Boy Advance game files. It searches internal and SD card storage, opens zipped files, and runs them through an original GBA engine with high-quality rendering. The app does not include game files, so the playable content comes from the user’s collection rather than from a built-in library.

The core experience centers on configuring and controlling emulated games. Players can use a virtual on-screen keypad, customize its keys, or connect a Bluetooth or MOGA controller. Turbo buttons, fast-forward and slow-down controls ranging from 0.25x to 16x, and screenshots provide additional control options. Save states include previews, allowing players to create and restore snapshots during play. Cheat support covers Raw, GameShark, and CodeBreaker formats. Dropbox support is available through John DataSync, and the emulator can take over data from John GBA Lite. It operates without an internet connection and has no advertisements.
